When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, and profile information. Instructors additionally provide professional credentials, payment information, and course content. You may optionally provide a profile photo, bio, social media links, and other profile details.

Payment Information

Payment transactions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card numbers on our servers. We retain transaction records including purchase amount, date, course purchased, and payment status. Instructors who use Stripe Connect provide banking and identity information directly to Stripe, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

Course Activity

We collect information about your course interactions, including lessons viewed, quiz attempts and scores, assignment submissions, completion status, certificates earned, and time spent learning. This data is used to track your progress and improve Platform recommendations.

Instructor Data

For instructors, we collect application information, professional background, course performance analytics, student enrollment data (aggregated), earnings records, payout history, and account verification information required by payment processors.

Student Data

For students, we collect enrollment records, course progress, quiz and exam results, review submissions, communication with instructors through approved Platform channels, and certificate issuance records. Student data is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies & Tracking

Analytics

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, regular security audits, and access controls to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

Data Retention

Affiliate Program Data

If you participate in the Kreative Learners Academy Affiliate Program, we collect and process additional information necessary to operate the program:

Affiliate Profile Information

We collect your display name, bio, social media links, categories of interest, and avatar image. This information is displayed on your public affiliate storefront (if enabled) and in the affiliate marketplace.

Affiliate Links & Click Tracking

We generate unique affiliate referral links tied to your account. When a visitor clicks your affiliate link, we collect:

• Click data: Timestamp, course ID, affiliate code
• Visitor IP address: Hashed for fraud detection (not stored in plaintext)
• User agent: Browser and device information for bot detection
• Referrer URL: The page the visitor came from
• Visitor email: If the visitor is a logged-in user (for conversion tracking)

Conversion & Commission Records

When a referred visitor makes a purchase, we record:

• Sale amount and commission rate
• Commission amount and status (pending, available, paid, reversed)
• Instructor and platform earnings breakdown
• Stripe checkout session ID and payment intent ID
• Course purchase reference
• Student email (for fraud prevention and self-referral detection)

Payment & Tax Information

Affiliate payouts are processed through Stripe Connect. We store your Stripe Connect account ID and payout status. Sensitive financial and tax information (banking details, SSN/tax ID) is collected and stored by Stripe, not by the Platform. We may store aggregate payout records for accounting purposes.

Marketing Analytics

We collect analytics data about your affiliate performance, including clicks, unique visitors, conversion rates, sales, revenue, and commission earnings. This data is used to display your dashboard statistics and to improve the Affiliate Program.

Referral Attribution Cookies

We use cookies to attribute referrals to affiliates. When a visitor clicks an affiliate link, a referral cookie is set on their device. See our Cookie Policy for details on affiliate tracking cookies.

Retention & Lawful Processing

Affiliate data is retained for as long as your affiliate account is active, plus the period required for tax and legal compliance (typically 7 years for financial records). We process affiliate data based on:

• Contract performance: To operate the affiliate program and pay commissions
• Legal obligation: To comply with tax and financial reporting requirements
• Legitimate interest: To prevent fraud and protect the Platform's integrity
• Consent: Where you have provided explicit consent for specific processing

Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
